drawmethod remap

Code:
int map = getentityproperty(self, "map");changedrawmethod(NULL(),"remap", map);

has anyone successfully applied a map using this remap option on drawmethod I think it only works with a characters remap and not alternatepal.  as far as i can tell remap has been removed from the latest build so how can I use this to recolour a drawsprite image ?

my results:
Code:
int map = getentityproperty(self, "map");
crash.
Code:
int map = getentityproperty(self, "colourmap");
crash.
Code:
int map = getentityproperty(self, "colourtable");
crash.

changedrawmethod() eliminates a lot of overlap. There are only two ways to access color sets. They are as follows.

remap: Don't confuse the "remap" nomenclature with "remap" for models. For drawmethod, remap is just a away to access one of the color sets of an item by index. Models have color sets (obviously), and it does not matter if they were loaded with the "remap" or "palette/alternatepal" model attribute. There are also color sets for the global display.

That last part is where you are going wrong. You are targeting the global drawmethod, and since there's only one global color set unless you specifically load more, you're trying to access a color set that does not exist. I know why, and am working on a afterimage script that will do what you need.

table: This is a pointer that refers directly to the color set itself. It's confusing as all heck if you're used to using indexes only, but is extremely powerful when leveraged properly. I'll work up a video tutorial on it when I get a chance.

YES! This will be cool. No offense to who made the current afterimage code, but to rely in TWO different updatescripts (on the character and on the stage) isn't a good idea to me. Specially when not all characters will use it.

Off topic: guys, please check the area before posting. This topic was in Mugen area, not OpenBOR.
