Hi, I would like to learn how to use OpenBOR. I want to say that I have to start from scratch and I don't know anything about programming. I remember that there is a file with a tutorial for beginners and advanced but I don't remember where I can download it. I'd like to have also advice on how has to start a total rookie like me who loves video games, in particular side-scrolling beat 'em up games.

Hi Steven, I can help you to start a new Openbor game, whatever it is (by private message or Discord as you prefer).

I will literally pay you to help me, I am in a similar situation. I have what appears to have successfully unzipped and run the program itself but it is saying that I don't have any paks and I don't know how to add paks.

Hi m0nko and welcome to the forum. You can simply add a bor.pak file with 0ko in pak folder. In your case, you have no game data, that's why the Openbor engine can't run anything. Like I tell to Steven1985, the best is to define what kind of game do you wish to develop and we can help you 😊

I want to create a side-scrolling, 2.5D beat-em-up game in the style of Streets of Rage but if possible, I want to use sprites that are similar to Mortal Kombat so that it looks like the "Defenders of the Realm" game made with OpenBOR

Is there anywhere we can speak in real time so you can guide me through the basics? Whenever you are free

The tutorials that I was looking for are present in the file tools_openbor_neo_edit_pack / neo_edit_pack / instructions.
