Double Dragon Revive

I hardly watched Top Hat videos since he keep recycling his videos over and over again. I used to watch his wife's content a bit but I stopped watching it as well. I mostly watched retro gaming longplays nowadays and some other creators content like GameSack, Sega Lord X, Retro Core and some musical reviews on the side.
What do you think of Retro Nate and Video Games 101. Those the Retro Youtuber I like.

I've played through and beat Revive, but it's possible and mostly fine to get through the game on single player. I do admit the next to last final boss is a pain in the ass for me. That said, ignore critics, and Top Hat Gaming had nonsensical takes since Final Vendetta got that Casual Difficulty update. Revive is a good game overall, and it's the game I wished The Bouncer to be. What with all the interacting with the environment, wall jumping, light parkour attacks over obstacles, weapon variety, and fun multiplayer. I do love the parry system. The game does have an in-depth move set, but the game never gives you the full layout of the moves, and you have to figure them out yourself.

Welcome to the community @BrawlMan. Can't say I agree with your take. I don't give a spit what critics say, but my own opinion sets firmly on DDR = trash. Different strokes for different folks though. If you enjoy playing it, that means you got your money's worth. (y)

Thank you. Like I said, the game has it issues, but I've seen so much far worse. The team behind this one genuinely cared, and they did at least bother to update the game a few times to iron out some issues. The soundtrack I love too. Double Dragon Gaiden I do consider better than Revive, but love them both. I'm just happy we've been getting DD games more often now. Gaiden is a 9/10 for me, and Revive is a 7/10 for me.

Gaiden is a solid Double Dragon game with the tag team mechanic that plays well with its strengths. Revive is different and the final boss is a pain in the ass but I did find some enjoyment just wished it had a bit more time in the oven for refinement.
