Character won't load

I've veen halted by this problem since last night. i recently converted one of my origInal characters in mugen to openbor, and after finishing the  editingr, she still doesn't show In the characyer select menu. I've added her to the models.txt file, and even set her as player type. any suggestions?
 
Did you declare her in models.txt with load or with know?
Players are usually declared with load because they are always available.
 
Load. I also found that i cannot add or remove characters from the game for some reason. the same roster that was there before remains, even after removing all characters from the models.txt file (something i did just as a test).
 
Do you try to edit an existing game that has allowselect in it? We need more details to help you 😊.
 
I'm not so sure about the "allowselect" part, but yes, it is an existing game that i downloaded from somewhere. I'm just trying to add my character to it. what you mentioned about "allowselect" though, I'll need more info on that, because as i am not able to make changes to the game, it sounds pretty relevant to the discussion we are  having.
 
You can take a look at the Openbor Manual:
allowselect {playername1} {playername2} ....

    Defines allowed players in this select screen just for current level set.
    {playername#} is the name of player. You can define more than one but no need to repeat same one.
    Make sure the allowed players are loaded otherwise they won't be available. OTOH if a player is loaded on a level, he/she is affected by this settings too.
    The allowance or disallowance only works when playing the mod. If you load saved game, it defaults to old one.

Which game are you trying to edit? You can contact the author and maybye he / she can help you too.
 
I've spent couple minutes to get bishojo dimensional chaos from Internet. The link from thread in this forum is dead so I had to get it elsewhere.

I had to disable Saint Seiya characters to allow game to load and it proves that I can disable characters. OTOH I'm sure I can add characters fine there :).

So when you said you removed some characters, who are they?

no, I figured it out don't worry bout it fella. problem was, i had the data folder in the paks folder, which apparently isn't supposed to be there i guess. i can add and remove characters just fine now. BUT, my created character is causing the program to crash on the loading screen. when i remove her from the models, the game loads (slowly but surely), so it has to be something wrong with her.
