I'm working on Carol (the green chick in my avatar) for this game as a new player.
 
is that one girl from the ds version of castlevania gonna be playable.. I forgot her name she had long dark hair and wore purple.

You're not the only one who likes Leon. Though I dunno about Leon, I like using him in the CV collab mod.

The Castlevania Collab... great memories. Really, the only community-wide collaboration that went anywhere. I forget which characters I made for it. I know I made at least Leon, Charlotte, and Jonathan. Maybe Soma? Does the mod also have that girl from Koumajou Densetsu? Because I know I made her for at least one CV related project (I worked on too many).

Scrolling through the thread, I see a lot of discussion for adding in characters. I don't mean to sound rude, but I'd say the roster is suitable enough. More levels--and by extension enemies, bosses, obstacles, etc--should be the focus now. If you want to slap together a character or two, that's fine, but the project needs more content to use those characters with.  ;)

Bloodbane, are you spear-heading a revival of the CV Collab, or just posting it for preservation's sake?

No no, I simply replied to esn's question. Dog Unlimited is the one who revived this thread

I agree with that, I've created tileable panels + some levels with them to make it easy for people to make levels with the former

And no, nobody did Shanoa and I'm not interested with her

I like using him in the CV collab mod.

Ah sorry I thought this entire time it was bloodbane's game for some reason.  lol but anywho she was my fav char in the series so just was wondering if i should pick it up or not :)

While I don't want to come off as telling you to steal other people's work, there's a few MUGEN adaptations of Shanoa. If you find one that's low-res (her actual size), then you could use OBorStats' MUGEN converter function to help you start out. You'll obviously have lots of work ahead of you, but OBorStats will take care of the annoying things like ripping from sprite sheets and setting offsets.

By the way, did anyone ever update Jonathan's attack animation? The one where he swings a two-handed sword? I made it back when Portrait of Ruins' sprites were just starting to get ripped. I drew the sword swing effect myself in MS Paint, since the official effect hadn't been ripped yet. And... well, it looked awful. May want to look into editing that.

Anyways, the answer is no

I've made some update before but I lost my mood before completing some new levels. Though Skeleton Bomber and Devil Skeleton were complete
 
Once I do get back to contributing stuff to this old thing, i’m considering doing Grand Dad as a pseudo-joke-character (silly character who plays well)

This is the sheet I will recolor in Grand Dad’s title-screen colors. Any ideas for his high-quality weapons? Like maybe the staff from Kung Fu Mari, weapons from Joe and Mac, boxes from Squirrel King, etc.  Loojing for not only bootleg stuff, but also other SiivaGunner and Vinesauce memes, and other stuff from 2016.

Probably also a special ability for him, like a dash.

EDIT; These are my ideas so far:

* Ray Liotta Private Select Honey (R. HONEY): Sprays honey that sticks to enemies along the ground.
* Coconut Gun: Fires in spurts and deals high hitstun to its target.
* O’Hare’s Compressed Air (O. CompAir): Pushes enemies back with a stream of compressed air.
* This Net: Flings a net at the enemy.
* Protegent Attack (P. ATTACK): Throws the Protegent guy forward, resulting in projectiles going up in a parabola
before descending in an amidakuji pattern.
* The Bean: slashes with Bean De La Bean, releasing waves forward.
