i think his question is if there can be installed 2 or more openbor vercions at the same time in an android device, like for example installing 3.0 vercion for an older module and 4.0 for a newer one and having both vercions coexist in the device so you dont have to uninstall and install specific vercions of each game every time you want to play them.... i have no experience playing on android so i have no idea about it..The correct way is by installing each game individually using their own engine versions, more like a PC game and not as an emulator/rom.
not in this case, as the android which runs 3.0 doesn't runs 4.0 and vice versa, as far as I know.like for example installing 3.0 vercion for an older module and 4.0 for a
Indeed this is possible, but usually most releases uses the same OpenBOR name internally, making the system recognize all of them as the same app (allowing only an update option instead of a new installation).i think his question is if there can be installed 2 or more openbor vercions at the same time in an android device
There's no guarantee that a single v3 engine will run all the older games with no problem, due many differences between builds. The same goes for the v4 ones running the latest games. For example, the SORX will not run fine in all v4 builds, even if it was developed for v4.like for example installing 3.0 vercion for an older module and 4.0 for a newer one
i meant that just as example of having 2 diferent openbor apps installed at the same time, i know games must be played with the same build they were created for...There's no guarantee that a single v3 engine will run all the older games with no problem, due many differences between builds. It's what @Kratus explained above:is there a way to mod the openbor app so it doesnt conflict with other vercions?
As an example, in the SORX beta 35 you can have both base/classic engine versions installed at the same, because I compiled both with different names internally to allow it.
Yeah, although compiling is not too complex, the environment preparation for the Android compilation can be a bit complicated.yes but it sounds like heavy programing knoledge is required
