This is a zombie character Bloodbane helped me develop back on Lavalit. He will be an enemy character, but a playable version will be available if you complete the game. He throws body parts as projectile weapons and has blood vomit as his main attack. Thanks BB your instruction helped me create a really cool and fun character.

I use the Frankensprite method of creating characters. The Terrordrome characters were easy though, because they were already animated & all I had to do was mount them with Adobe. It was hard to find resources on some of the characters though, like Jeepers Creeper & John Carpenters The Thing. I am a thing fan and there is an entire level dedicated to the Thing movie called "Outpost 31", that has several different manifestations of the monster: Splitface, Norris' head, Norris' body, Blair Thing and more , & also R.J. MacReady will be a helper character in that level.

I've been jumping from mod to mod lately trying my best to finish the entire ADV Saga, but just wanted to give an update and have added a few new enemies to the list: Johnny from "The Shining", Ghost face from "Scream", and two new werewolves from "The Howling". Also I have been working on a playable version of the hero from Altered Beast, and he will based on the Japanese game "Project Altered Beast" that was never released in America. I  choose this game because I wanted him to have a more modern look & will be able to transform into four different monsters. I will probably be bugging Bloodbane a lot on how I will accomplish this ingame transformation.

After I release the game anyone can use the sprites to do whatever they want to with them. I could release some sprite sheets with each character broken down into body parts, so that the Mugen guys could edit them as they wish. Some of the smaller characters like Gremlins and Critters would be good as a helper character in Mugen.

I have finally finished "The Thing" stage, here are four of the different manifestations of the creature that you will face in that stage: Norris head, Splitface, Norris Monster, and the Blair Creature. Also I have completed the "Shining" stage, Jack is in the group pictured above with the other boogeymen. I am almost finished with Dracula's Castle stages, there will be about six rooms in the castle where you will face all sorts of different monsters.

the thing is one of my favourite horror films of all time. cant wait to see these sprites in action. Please post a video or demo soon :)
Me too, I was so glad that they made a prequel to the original movie. Now they need to make a sequel to the first movie before Jeff Bridges gets too old. Anyway the game features two stages that are based off both movies Norwegian Base & Outpost 31.

One quick question. When I played Urban Lockdown I noticed that the gfx shadow effect was below the players. How did you achieve this because in my mod the shadow effect is above the characters & when they jump the effect bleeds onto the background and kills the depth illusion. I tried playing around with different number values but could not get the shadow to reverse, I know this seems like a beginners question but can someone help.

unpack the mod and look at specific level text file (grass level for example) and you will see something like

light  0 -80
Thanks for the help, and yeah I do get those two guys names mixed up all the time. As I said earlier they need to make a sequel to the original, and say that R.J. McReady survived and there is a global threat with the alien now. Since Kurt Russell is older now you could say that the story takes place 20 years later and the aliens have escaped from Outpost 31 & have assimilated some very important and influential people like senators and congressmen.

One more question, can the shadow or light variable be adjusted from an entities text file or is that only for level files. The reason I ask is because not all of my entities have the same shadow effect, some have a normal shadow effect, and others have a gfxshadow effect. Also it made my blood effects cast a shadow also.

thats easy. in the blood text file put

shadow  0

this along with other features can be defined in the individual text files, example giving objects/robot enemies certain hitflashes so they dont spill blood

noatflash 1
flash  block
Thanks for the tip.

More monster concept designs and playable Slaughterhouse Rick. I am about 95% complete with Metroid Warworld & Boogeyman Blvd, but Doom: Mission to Mars is a little behind schedule. I want to release the complete trilogy at one time so it may be a couple of months before all three mods are complete.

Well this looks impressive! The fact that you made Kolchak a main character is insanely awesome! And third in the series you say? Where are the other ones?! If I had any request, it would be that Larry Talbot (The Wolf Man) would be a playable character. If you think about it, it could work. As Larry he would fight with punches and his silver cane (Since silver hurts many kinds of evil), and The Wolf Man has fought other kinds of monsters before: (Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man, Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein). Again, this is incredibly awesome! Keep up the good work! 8)

Liu-Kang I believe that me and you think a lot alike. I have been following your work long before I decided to try out openbor & your Godzilla game poster on Deviant art is what led to me to join Lavalit in the first place. I am a huge Godzilla fan and have been waiting a long time for you to complete your mod & I assume you are excited about the new Godzilla movie trailer on YouTube. Anyway back to the topic, yes I have thought about putting Talbot & even the original monster hunter Van Helsing, but that would push my release date even farther back. I am glad that you understand the reason I put Kolchak in the game because a lot of people don't even know who he is. Did you know that the Kolchak series is what inspired the X-Files series.
