It looks great…. But the problem I have with this game is it’s difficulty. I understand the arcade style gameplay, but I don’t want to be dying and push pushing start over and over again. Like in Castlevania, I want to be able to learn from my mistakes and play to perfection without losing a life after I have learned the stages….

Great
This is a top notch effort all around. I'd give it 5 stars except for some minor nitpicks:

- Several animations like Ethan's back dash are static when they should be making use of drop/land frames. These become apparent when used around platforms.

- The controls are also a little clunky at times and the difficulty is inconsistent. Some areas are laughingly easy, others are all but impossible.

- Many of the stages could really use some extra layers to sell the depth.

Outside of these problems it's a fantastic game. I applaud the attempt to craft an original story and characters, and they're all interesting in their own way. If anything, we don't really learn enough about them by the end. Sprite work is top notch, and none of the assets used look too much out of place. Mechanics are also pretty solid.

I'm looking forward to more from the creators.
