where is this "cool fireball effect" (as i named the file) from? my best guess is Eternal Fighter Zero as the effects in that game are similar, but i couldn't find an exact match since TSR has (i think) everyone ripped, but no universal effects.
took the sprite from MUGEN but i want a "clean"...
Made a mockup of what i'd want the CSS to look like - greyed out portraits will be baked onto the player select background, while the colorized portraits and the images of them in the corners and name text will be done with the "select" animations.
Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure kinda has usable sprites but there's nothing from the Bleach games I can use, the DS games' proportions aren't the "pocket" style of JUS.
Demo/test build (sort of? more like one test stage and a couple of empty backgrounds).
Not uploading this directly to the site since work done on it is minimal, just characters and only one actual level.

un-pak'd the cut down version and reenabled cheats/debug features... and there isn't much hitbox-related jank despite thinking he shouldn't be getting hit nearly as often and I didn't realize you could double jump until I kept dying to a bottomless pit that definitely uses the hole command. The...
Been on a bit of a Smash Bros kick lately (mostly in regard to Brawl and unofficial games) and had the thought of adding some kind of projectile that does a combo on impact like Ness' PK Fire. This is the best video I can find that demonstrates it:
I just remembered this existed and finished Ichigo's moveset, he's slower and clunkier than everyone else currently and his sprites definitely scream that he's from a platform fighter and NOT a beat em up.
I knew about fgLayer, what I meant is that i couldn't get it to work right, at least without having to resort to taking from someone else's level txt, the duplicate "desert-back.png" as a bglayer was meant to have that effect.
