Several people have asked about upload & downloads. I figured my blanket statement about adding content would cover that, but apparently not.
:p

Anyway, yes that is coming, as will be all the other features from Lavalit. I just happen to be on the road today. Only so much you can do with a smartphone. verything should be set up in the next day or so.

The file manager system is up and running. I still need to make categories and such, but feel free to start uploading/downloading.

Until I can get a button created for the top menu, the link is located in the forum General Category as "File Manager".

Forgot to set the permissions up so members could upload. Give it a try now.

I saw you posting and knew what it was going to be about.  :P

I just now got the limit changed. Single files can now be up to 300,000kb. That's enough to handle every module anyone has made thus far.

By the way, DC. How about a limit of 500,000 kb like it used to be at Lavalit for the download section? I think I might remember there used to be 500MB. Also, I don't see the tool section for the download section in there. No tools in the download section especially for PalApply.

I was posting a topic about PalApply for resource but when I started attaching it and posted it, that thing says it's like 128kb or 192kb as a limit. So that means I cannot attach it. Could it be extended maybe like 500kb or 1000kb or over?

The reason Lavalit picked 500,000kb is because it was a nice round number - nothing more. If you will recall, Lavalit also required administration approval for uploads - Chrono Crash does not. Because anyone can sign up and upload, I chose a file size I knew just covered the largest of modules. If the limit becomes a problem I will change it; otherwise limits are kept low as possible to mitigate the impact a potential spammer could have.

This also applies to attachments. Attachments are for quick convenience; They will expire in time and should not be used to post tools, tutorial images, or anything else that requires any sort of permanency. This was true at Lavalit and it remains true here.

As for Tools, that is needed and I'll add it straight away.

Exactly where is the button for the downloads section, anyways? So far I've been clicking on Upload File and then finding Downloads from there. It's not a major issue, but it is slightly on the tedious side.  ;)

It is, and I can't seem to find any setting to bring it up. What I did as an interim is made a forum "board" called "File Management". It's actually a forwarder that takes you straight to them.

For some reason editing an upload doesn't replace the old file but leaves a lot of old links.

I wonder if those can be removed so I can post a new one.
