Watching the gameplay video for couple minutes, I can see the difficulty is increased (many foot soldiers in first area) but I have yet to see dive kick
Nice artwork this remake has, I love how sprites are remade for this game  :)
 
Oh thanks. I've discovered this game some days ago and I was going to record a video but I totally forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me :)
 
I downloaded a very early demo years ago. I thought the project was dead. Glad to see I was wrong!
 
I gave the game a try

The game has a lot to go and to be fixed (like the controls and walls collision, as you can see on the video), but its a nice idea.

I had a dream where the original arcade's game had its sprites replaced with pre-rendered visuals that looked more like the 90's movies.

im pretty sure that once this is done this can be accomplished using  this HD remake as a base, and Source Filmmaker maker  with ripped models from injustice 2

as for the rest of the graphics... a patreon fund to have 3d artists render the rest of the stuff?
