Sega vs Capcom - The Next Level (Demo)

Sonic fans, rejoice! In this fan-made game using the Ikemen engine, we finally get to see Sonic (and other Sega characters) against Capcom characters.

The game is visually incredible, at a much better level than many commercial games out there. And it turned out so well that we started to be afraid of what companies would think about it.

I love how sonic looks, but - maybe because of his shadow - he looks like he’s floating all the time.

Axel Stone (Streets of Rage) and Akira Yuki (Virtua Fighter) join the group of playable characters in this incredible fan game "Sega vs Capcom: The Next Level", developed in Ikemen.

In addition to the new playable characters, we have new stages (like the classic Shadow Dancer stage from Sega Genesis) and 2 new bosses, with a special appearance at the end that will drive Sonic fans crazy!

You need a more modern computer to run the game - On Windows 11, I could only run it in Administrator mode.

I like the idea.
I only hope they will go ahead and give this game more type of characters archetypes.
Now, we have mostly "shotos" / "main guy" type.

The presentation is next level but that character select screen take the cake.
I like that the entire team must be K O'd.
Never liked the idea of one character dying for you to lose the round like in Stf x Tekken.
This game's roster could get crazy on the Sega front with Sketch Tuner, Vector man, Rocket knight.
It looks official...a testament to the quality of the work put into it.
