I didn't know about this one until yesterday. Here's a remake of Capcom's Warriors of Fate. It's all in Chinese, so you'll have to feel your way around if you don't know the language. I didn't see the author mentioned, but several facets give it away as a Volcanic module.

IMO it's kind of typical for his stuff. Long on style, short on substance. Still pretty fun to give it a play-through though. I may crack it open later and make an English translation. If someone wants to record a video I'll include it in the resource entry.

Played it a bit last night and surprisingly it's well made but there is a issue you can use one attack that killed tons of enemies by spamming one button... But it is fun nonetheless just need a few tweaks and an english translation and we're golden.

This game is fire baby!!! The only drawback is the fact that it is completely in Chinese. I didn't understand anything and felt like a blind man navigating through the menus. There at the hub of the palace, there are three circles on the floor, the first and third take you to the same route, and the second takes you to the entrance of a castle. The game is also extremely short. Visually it is impressive and what I liked the most was the blood and the destruction of enemies, in addition to easy combos, hehehe. Anyway, maybe I'm missing something due to the language, but that's what I felt in that first moment. Well, I tried to enter the website that came with the module and my Malwarebytes Premium antivirus blocked the page. I feel like I should warn you, maybe there's something suspicious on the developer's website that he doesn't even know about.

Unfortunately, it's most likely intentional. The developer was a really great member here for a long time, and then one day just left without a word. Sometime after he resurfaced on Chinese sites with bootleg engine versions, claiming full credit for the source-code, selling games with ripped assets, and just being shady in general. I don't have any idea why he elected to do that, but it was his choice to make.

For those who liked Warriors of Fate, I think it's important to mention this topic: Rocket Viper 2

Volcanic definitely knows how to make cool games! Despite the dark side of it cited by DCurrent. =(

So be alert: Do not open the browser shortcut that is inside the module, which takes you to the developer's blog! My antivirus blocked the site saying it had a trojan horse.
To reproduce your encounter, I found the version with the description text, which reads roughly:
1, This is a free PC version of Mid-Autumn Festival, only part of it is available here;
2, the text has two links, app.mi...... is oriented to Xiaomi's app store, and pan.baidu...... is a link to Baidu's network drive.

The links are oriented in such a way that they won't cause problems with your computer, don't worry.
These two links from back in 2015 are no longer valid, so it doesn't hurt for the staff to remove this text.
