This is a little project of mine, for Openbor (PC), based on tokusatsu characters, as Changeman, Flashman, and other ones...
This game is mostly based on the NES game called Choujin Sentai Jetman.

I will add some levels with the robot and some for it.

Looks good!

I suggest controlling number of enemies in one screen Or give area attacks to Sentais to deal with enemies attacking from left and right :).

It's a good idea. I will add some new specials for the characters and a move that hit enemies from both sides.

I've played it almost to the end and it's good with some flaws.

The flaws are:
1. No health items 😒. If you agree to add some, adding some MP items is suggested also.
2. Player's SPAWN animation is too long. It's great when level starts but not when continuing. A boss could get close while waiting for animation to end. You should add RESPAWN animation with short animation to solve this :).
3. Lacking enemy variation. I'm aware that you've placed some static shooters in the levels but they are pretty rare. Placing more of them might add more variety.
You should place more standing shooters at first levels then in remaining levels, more crouching shooters.
4. Unskippable scenes 😖. If you insist on forcing players to watch same scenes, at least show different scene on each level.

The goods are:
1. I love seeing more characters which join after completing certain level 🤩.
2. Varying bosses AI. Make me wish the giant monsters have similar cause almost all of them I could pin to right side and beat em to death 😁.
3. Special moves. Some are decent, and a few is OP 😎.

Thanks for the feedback, and sorry for the delay for anwser it.
About the flaws:
1. Maybe, in the next version, I'll add some MP itens.
2. The characters are vulnerable when respawn. So, the respawn animation will be modified for a shorter one in the next version.
3. The variety of enemies is not that repetitive. In addition to soldiers and snipers, there are robots, swordsmen and clawmen. However, in the new version I will be adding another type of soldier to vary more.
4. Repetition of cutscenes is part of the charm of every tokusatsu shows! 👺 But, the player will be able to skip the cutscenes before the giant battles. ;)

In addition to the above modifications, I will also change some moves of certain characters to more elaborate moves.
I downloaded some sprites of virtua fighter animation, from the master system, and I'm looking forward to adding them in my spare time (which are very few unfortunately).

hii, i really like this game, but when i tried to play with my brother in 2 players the game crashes after the giant robot cinematic in the first level...
 
Hi M15T3RY0 , can you read openborlog.txt in logs folder and see the error message?
i read the file but i didnt found any error message, the only odd thing i found is that my controler appears as UNKNOWN in the openborlog.txt

like this:
1 joystick(s) found!
UNKNOWN - 4 axes, 12 buttons, 1 hat(s)

i use a generic usb controler
but i dont think that's the issue... is it?
btw, your game has the same problem? or is just me?
