I've been making and posting up Sega Genesis tunes a little bit lately, so I figured I'd put them here.
Hey, thanks. Glad you like it. I used Furnace Tracker using vanilla Sega Genesis with no expansions on both tracks. I did strive to go above and beyond with the design. I was quite pleased with how they came out.Fantastic work!
The first one sounds like 80's to me and it seems that it's done with Yamaha keyboard sound (with physical keyboard or FL Studio?).
The second one almost sounds like Streets of Rage and Sonic soundtracks coming together, as well as Alex Kidd. Upbeat and fast, but with a bass sound like Disco.
I can totally see that. LOL I like it.@CosmoBuggi
the party tune sounds like some ninja turtles kicking Mob boss hench-Booty on a fancy yatch
the Wipes to the beat fits a Casino brawl for the Streets of ragers
Thanks. Glad you like it. I rather like how it came out in terms of sound design. Furnace can use expansion chips, but I like to see what I can do without them, and I am fairly proud of what I was able to achieve.Excellent composition. I really dig Wipes To The Beat:
Reminds me of the music you could hear in those 90s shoot 'em ups on the snes/pc-engine (Axelay, Gunhed, etc).
This track would be perfect if it didn't end so abruptly. Keep it up, @CosmoBuggi!
Thanks. You're not the only person who has compared my music to Amiga music. I take that as a compliment as I often love Amiga music. Now if I made GAMES that you compared to the Amiga...I really like your style. Your original tracks, like Wipes To The Beat or Driving to the Club, often have a strong Amiga vibe.
It calls back to the haydays of tracker music, the demo scene and the great composers who worked on the system.
Like Chris Huelsbeck for instance (Apidya, Turrican II, etc). And that's a compliment. *wink*
Yeah, I can see that. Never really watched Batman Beyond, but from what I've seen of it, I can't say I would disagree. LOL again, thanks.@CosmoBuggi
driving to the club
sounds like a good track for a batman beyond for the sega genesis level based on those future night clubs
