OpenBOR Sports Minigames?

Since I'm aware that Streets of Rage Remake has a volleyball minigame, it made me wonder what kind of sports/non-combat minigames could be possible with the OpenBOR engine?


Also would be curious to see if anyone has done something like that before since I find the concept both ridiculous and fun. Kinda like how Tekken 7 has bowling or MK had kart racing.

There's no technical limit to making mini games. Due to the script support, the engine can replicate any imaginable game mechanics. It's really just a matter of preference, and I don't think too many have wanted to bother with that sort of thing. The closest would probably be @Bloodbane. He's basically taken what you'd call mini games and expanded several of them into stand alone modules.

As Damon posted above, there are no limit on making mini games. You could create collectathon in which you must collect certain items in order to complete the level. You could create pong buuut instead of using paddle, you use beatm up character to deflect the ball back.
Fire Leaf Water is a puzzle game made with OpenBoR. It's still WIP but you can see that it's non-combat game.
