New official Double Dragon game

Chibi dragon more like does not seem right to me. I can't believe the black soldier said "got ya" Midway should sue lol.

I think I do prefer this version over another nes styled game. I saw the original producer sharing what he wanted to do - a NES game with hd effects and geez , no

Oh yeah, we need the same 8bit games over and over - with hd effects that doesn't match the original style :) *sarcasm*

Some more co-op action:

IDK about this, honestly I don't like when they go too far from the source material, they took so many liberties. I guess it's gonna be a good game overall, it's just my opinion on how the franchise has been trying to find a new way to exist when it already had a great one.

I confess I am not 100% ok with the way the game is, but I think it will worth a try.

I like the art style but I don’t like it for a DD game. I would have preferred more “serious” aesthetics like they did with DDA and SDD. It looks much a better game that DD4 so that’s a pro point.
The portraits looks great, and Chin Tai Mei and Linda looks really cool.
Don’t like the corpses standing in the floor like in Golden Axe series, but that’s just me.
Yeah it’s definitely taking the formula to a whole different direction than previous games, but the franchise already did it with DDNeon.
I don’t know, I’d like to play it and see how all goes.

Still it looks like a lot of fun. The art style reminded me of RC Underground.

I kinda like the new look of the Double Dragons. It does look much better than the NES styled DD4 which has some serious audio issues and all. Still I might see this a step in the right direction if this game does well enough to warrant more entries in the long run.

I still love the classic DD games like SDD and DDA but we can't forget how much that one particular DD title that almost destroyed the series when it was on the Xbox 360.

A friend of mine made a hands-on review of the game:
I just noted they are using music from SDD, which is nice!
Also surprised Duke is included in the game, although they made him look like a bishonen.
One thing I really disliked though is that “crowd control” icon that keeps appearing and interrupting all the flow of the game.

Not a fan of this, honeslty. I like the effort though, but this is way off the franchise. Hopefully this will keep the Double Dragons alive for some time :)

I like the artworks, but not too fan of the ingame sprites. I think they got through a limit I don't really like in term of sprite (size of characters, level of details)
TMNT Shredder's Revenge was the actual limit not to cross. (for my own tastes)
I don't like the face of Billy and Jimmy. Marian have a nice design even if she don't look like Marian to me.
Other characters are kind of OK. Abobo looks nice. etc.

The gameplay itself looks pretty good and is certainly the good point of this game.
Looks like the characters have a good diversity of moves, even if I freaking hate the fact Marian is not even able to deliver a single punch.
Weak woman just able to shoot guns...

I like the different places/stages, I'm jsut curious about playing one more beat em up. And unlocking the extra characters.

As @Mr.Q! says, I think it's a good chance to keep the franchise alive with a fun game. All streamers on twitch will enjoy playing with these small characters, giving few punches by mashing a single button and shooting everywere with weapons (fortnite style, woohoo... ^^; ), and streaming this game for perhaps 2 days, then forget it forever.

It's hard for me to say that, but SOR4 is still the real deal, even if I never have been really satisfied of SOR4.

I have watched the video and it feels like watching other beat'm ups than Double Dragon. Enemy design and formation feel different than Double Dragon.
Not saying it's bad thing though. Maybe this works with newer generation of players.

Still that crowd control message pausing the game so often is annoying. It's not fun to receive the message. Such simple message should only be displayed at corners and without pausing.

Is Neon good? haven't try that one (too modern) for my taste since I only played double dragon 2-3 NES era for console, well of course I played the arcade version
from fun factor points this one is looks better but I don't like the sprite style. Judging from the video, the gameplay seems very excitingly fun

I've never been a fan of double dragon, every game felt too different and could never get into the rhythm of it, they've never been structured well as a series of games, this one seems like Scott Pilgrim vs Ninja Turtles, I don't know what's double dragon about it or exactly what double dragon "is"

It looks like a fun game overall.
