In this case the custom playlist will work fine for your purpose. I can compile a VBOX version for you, I only do not make it as default due to some false virus warning, you can ignore it and play normally using the external music folder.Playlists. I've been toying with a mid 90s Belgian and UK techno sound. Still interesting, but 1 & 2 are better when you don't realise how derivative it is. Go Straight:
I would add that !Playlists. I've been toying with a mid 90s Belgian and UK techno sound. Still interesting, but 1 & 2 are better when you don't realise how derivative it is. Go Straight:

Yes... I used to whatch in loop these YT vids where they list the tracks that inspired SOR music...Speaking of music that inspired Streets of Rage soundtracks, I've been a little obsessed with these lately and found some real bangers to add to my car playlist lol
For instance:
C-Block - "So Strung Out" (Streets of Rage main theme)
Inner City - "Good Life" (SOR2 Stage 1 - Go Straight)
Black Box - "Open Your Eyes" (SOR1 Stage 4 - The Bridge)
BTW I already said this on YouTube, but I'm gonna repat it here as well - Damn good job with those classic HP bars, @Kratus. I love those!

True, I know at least 3 tracks which used the beat that sounds identical to SOR2 Stage 1 "Go Straight" lol
It's all a sophisticated mix of what was in the charts and clubs back in 91/92. 3 does the same with then brand new waves of jungle, gabber and hardcore. Total feedback loop from the club to the console barely repeated; I've only heard of Namco devs referencing clubbing for Ridge Racer's soundtrack.
