This is looking great :D i am also interested in seeing how the stages will turn out in the beat em up side scrolling style of gameplay.
I mentioned in the street fighter z video that i was super excited to see you go in the direction of street fighter, since you are one of my favorite openbor creators, and one of the most productive...i've fond memories of super street fighter ii turbo as a kid, as it was one of my first pc games ever, and so was mortal kombat (in fact, i got it even earlier in childhood, it was the first game i got with my sega alongside sonic 2)
So i'm totally hyped about this project too ;D it'll be great to see your great talent work its magic on the mortal kombat & street fighter universes!

im having fun doing this projects. to much time on DC and MARVEL, so is nice to explore others worlds.
well, dont create so much expectation about stages, im used to edit on this style, so im not creating custom stags, im just converting same stages to beatn up.
 
btw,
i just know basics of english, so need a feedback here,
what you guys tink about that text time? fine, fast, slow......?

It is nice to see MK2 and MK3 sub zero sprites...you mentioned "classic sub-zero", is it correct to assume there will be an MK1 skin for him too?That'd tie in greatly with the plan to incorporate the Mortal kombats from 1 to 3.

mk1 and mk2 subzero will be same subzero (using the ultimate mk3 classic subzero skin, this one at video), but MK2 uses a pallet with the red scar undermask
 
You are working very fast and this a very good work ;). Maybye human Smoke can have another moves than Scorpion like invisibility, smoke bombs...
This is a nice idea to put mortal kombat characters to a beat em up and it's very well done  8).

i want to do custom moves, but keep essence of original chars, smoke was on mk2 and 3 a scorpion clone, only at mk9 he got a different moveset, so i did it, same scorpion basic moves and few customs.
and smoke bomb will save it to cyborg smoke.
 
I'm so excited for this game it's insane, haha. You're literally making one of my dreams come true: an MK beat'em up with every character from the original trilogy. I've wanted it since I first discovered OpenBOR but nobody ever came close to it. Seriously, thank you so much for making one of my dream games a reality ^_^

If all characters play as fluidly as Scorpion looks to in the latest video then this game will be a lot of fun.

The only thing I find a little odd at the moment is the sound effects in the character select screen and such. They sound very out of place but I assume the plan is to use the MK select sounds and such eventually?

Also from the screenshots it seems like only up to 8 characters are able to fit on the select screen? Are those the only characters we can choose from in the Story Mode? I notice the characters have different portraits too. Will the characters have different 'versions' of themselves, similar to Streets of Rage Remake where you can play as SoR 1, 2, or 3 versions of the main characters? Or is that just an asthetic thing for the character select?

I'm curious to how the moves work in terms of inputs too. Scorpion's flaming backflip kick appears to be a 'Blitz' style move. Are the Spear and Teleport Punch performed with other buttons or via some kind of input?

Will you be releasing any demos eventually? I'm really curious to see how the game feels.

My plan really was do only  Jax and Sonya game.... then it became a little more big :)

i dont care to keep using same beep sounds to all projects before, but it really dont fit to a MK game.
will change sounds to MK3


to story ill be only this chars on screens, but on other modes you can play same stages with all chars.
Raiden MK1 is same from MK2 but with white pallete, liu kang is same to all MKs, even with this different portraits, only char with some little difference is Jax, because metal arms, he have 2 moves a bit different.... but is same Jax sprites, human arms are a pallet from MK3 jax.

moves atm are same to all chars, D, D + A is the uppercut, scorpion' spear is hadouken and teleport U, U + A, Scorp blitz is the run attack.... and there are a button to Fatallity move when bar are full.

nowsday im not sure about release demos be a good ideia, mk mugen community loves to edit others projects and re-release, so i will wait until i do everything which i want here, probably just some private version at patreon to get some feedback about gameplay.
 
Really impressive work, when we see your game it's like watching a real commercial game !!!
All is perfect, fast, smooth, many moves, a big area to move with 16/9 support, you reduce sprite size to let us more place for move and more action ... graph are so beautiful ... really like ever i already know your game will be a great HIT  ;D
