Ok so, I downloaded the Justice League game from Zvitros for android, but it doesn't work on mobile devices, neither on PSVITA

So I tried opening the .pak with the Openbor that came with the neo_edit_pack.

I'm trying so despereately to get this game to work on PSVITA and Phone but everytime I try to boot it on OpenBor from PC it crashes.

I checked the log and this is all it says

OpenBoR v3.0 Build 2397, Compile Date: Nov  4 2009

Game Selected: ./Paks/My Mod2.pak

Initilize Video.............. 480x272 (Mode: 1, Depth: 32 Bit)
Loading menu.txt............. Done!
Loading fonts................ Done!
Timer init................... Done!
Initilize Sound..............
Failed to load: data/sounds/go.wav

Failed to load: data/sounds/block.wav

Loading sprites.............. Done!
Loading level order.......... Done!
Loading script settings...... Done!
Loading scripts..............

Can anybody help me?

-Edit-

I checked the phone log, apparently there's a problem with a line in a char folder, I'm trying to fix that now

Welcome fellow vita user - just like you I came in to the forum looking for vita support -
but I quickly learned that there is no support for vita users and that you are going to have to figure this out on your own.

The only vita openbor version allows certain games to run - but many games will have features that break the vita-
for example double dragon reloaded had a stage that would crash the vita because it used a parallax effect and when disabled from the actual game it would allow the game to run fine on the vita.

Phone is a different beast - so I hope you can find help with that here.

where did you download this justice league game you are talking about -  I might be able to take a look at the .pak and see if it's something minor that's preventing you from launching the game.

Hi! Thanks for answering.

I downloaded the game here
http://www.zvitor.com.br/projeto/jll_android3.html

It's the first download link

It would be a lot easier if the psvita could actually log what's wrong with stuff, but never does :(

Tested this in PC with the same version of openbor that the vita supports
and it ran - which in theory means that it's supposed to work for the Vita - however the latest vita opebbor version disabled the .log which in many cases
allows games to actually run. Do you have the V1.2 version ?

Changelog
=======
v1.2 (Vita only)
- speed up startup time by disabling excessive debug logging
- fix player 2, 3, 4 controls on VitaTV
- fix Vita button names in control mapping menu
- allow select button to be remapped for all players on VitaTV. Shader has to be selected in video options menu, not via select button anymore.

Now, if you test it and your vita still crashes - it's going to be hard to know exactly what's going on because
the latest vita version does not support logging - which means that it may have something to do with a heavy asset from the game that is crippling the vita.

but before we get to all that - let me know if you have the latest openbor vita version.

... yeah, and how'd that work out? Reminds me of someone a few years back who wanted to disable the progress bar, logging, and a ton of engine functionality to save a few milliseconds on load-up. Robbing Peter to pay Paul. Plombo remembers him I'm sure.

I get where your coming from - my experience with the the vita port was that it rendered games unplayable once the scpript log was created because it would have to load it each time , just to take to the selection screen - no kidding it was a 10 minutes wait.

Now even if they had the script log working the vita would crash because of non related issues with the engine -like in my example I mentioned above - double dragon reloaded would crash the vita version of openbor due to a baglayer parallax effect or the size of the .png and openbor log would not report the issue.

- I'm honestly thankful that we get to at least try a few of the version 3.0 games that were created
even if we get the inferior versions  ;D

but alas, we will never get the official vita version - so this is the best we got :(

I downloaded the leatest version of OpenBor on Psvita
This one here

what is the version of the program that runs on vita?

I'm never gonna play this game on PSVITA lol

I have not tested the game on vita yet - I was waiting for you to tell me if you had already downloaded the only version available at the moment which version V1.2.

Now, what I said was that I launched the game on PC with the same version of openbor that matches the Vita version  ( I believe is 3.0 )
because is the same version that I use to play double dragon reloaded on both vita and PC.

So if you tested JL in the latest version of Vita and the game wont play or launch - I would delete all the script logs first by going into the vita openbor folders and finding the scriptlog folder - then relaunch openbor and see if JL runs.

if it still fails to laucn than the problem has to do with the game being to large for the vita's memory or other issue in which unfortunately we would not know.

What exactly happens - double dragon is a 130 meg game and I have to wait like 5-6 minutes to load the game  :'(
JL looks to be about 300 megs  :o  - so that would be 12-13 minutes long wait?

The game has a loading progress bar no?
or does the vita simply kick  you out from openbor and displays the usual crash error C-22-12828 Error?

Starts loading and then kicks me unceremoniously out without even an error message

Traproom I see that you are using a very old version "v4704" and that game needs a newer version (6330 at least).
So the game won't work on the PS Vita.

I learned  something new - it's been a mystery for me all this time in exactly knowing which is the vita version
and actually where can I find out what version is openbor at the moment and how do I know what version was a .pak made with ?
