HELP! Controller issues

I have played many times with no issues with a friend over Parsec. This last time it put me as player 2 no matter what I have done. I deleted logs/save files. Deleted my controller, even went as far as deleting ALL of my game downloads. I have logged out of paresc and was alone. When I re downloaded the games we played together, its still putting me as controller 2/player 2. This is on EVERY game I try. I have even uninstalled openbor and EVER file and pak I had, its still doing this and I cant fix it

Sounds more like it's an issue with how windows/parsec automatically assigns your controller.

There's many variables, try seeing how Windows configs your controller, Then Parsec too, could be a saved default controller profile somewhere that needs tweaking.

Yeah it’s been driving me insane as it NEVER did this till tonight. Now, I think I may have gotten it fixed by adding the pak itself to openbor pak folder, rather than loading directly from the rom itself. So im still not sure where exactly the original “profile” was being saved when loading tye games directly. No clue at all

since you mention different games, older openbor versions have they own weird version of the crossover thing, openbor 4 seems to have fixed this....

but one thing is certain, some verisons of windows openbor will "transform" player ones inputs into player 2 inputs and there is nothing you can do, you have to plan ahead for this when playing online...
