sf,Zangief修正_2.pngsf,Zangief修正_红色旋风背景2.pngI drew this new version with more careful shading and detail etched in, and it doesn't look like the early series anymore compared to my previous pixel drawings of Street Fighter characters.
I think the biggest problem with this drawing is that the forward extended palm is not pulled apart from the body, making it difficult to see the outline of the palm. I embraced this shortcoming and stopped tweaking this, and here's the finished this, after all, I gained a lot!


The characters are from Street Fighter 6, I'm drawing at the same 64x64 size.

Ryu in particular is almost perfection.
I hope something will be done ,a module^^, with these wondeful sprites. :D

Good catch about the arms. I would also adjust his hair, he's almost bald here.
A good reference might be his chibi sprite in "Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix":

Abigail is also a reference to Final Fight.
I always found their posture (Abigail and Hugo), even if they are wrestlers, very strange:

Capcom delicately differentiates the movements of the two big guys in the fighting game, Huge with the bobbing being able to smash his opponent violently, Abigail being the unstoppable bull, and both of them have some hilarious expressions and movements.

Final Fight was released very early and minimized the enemy's action textures as much as possible, so their running moves were a bit lacking in energy.run1.gif

As a fan, I think it would be smoother to add a little arm change that doesn't change the contour of the movement.run2.gif

Man, thanks for the advice, I want to draw as many cute 4~5 headed characters as possible, in large part, it's because I saw Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix when I was a kid and thought it was as funny as a cartoon, I really hope capcom comes out with a follow up to this again.

I posted a new version of Zangief (in #1), subdividied the light and dark, added skin details, and more hair.

Thank you for your affirmation of these. I like to draw strong characters, and in the process of drawing them, without realizing it, the picture gets filled out more and more.

I guess it's not interesting T-T, because my adjusted running form is also weird...... I'll be readjusting that pair of arms very soon.
Maybe try to add some movement to the feet, too, to make them look less rigid?

Yeah, I just saw the new sprite. As far as Zangief's head goes, this is major improvement. (y)
I'm also glad you left the old sprite as well, so people can clearly see the difference.

What I really like about your pixel art is that it reminds me of how it's supposed to look (on a CRT monitor) you have a unique ability of creating this effect, I actually don't like pixel art BUT I do like how pixel art looks when displayed through a CRT or through software filters, your art is really good, great work.

True, as you say, there is a retro feel to my graphics, as the arcades I was exposed to in my childhood were big-ass CRT monitors, and when I didn't have the coins to play with, I'd stand around and admire the game graphics, which was equally pleasurable to me, and I guess that's the seed that was planted in my childhood.

I like the sprite pictures for SNK's Neo-Geo Pocket series of games interesting, and after playing Pocket Dimensional Clash 2 production by O Ilusionista's, I drew this sprite picture.
I've often had thoughts of modifying and creating pixelated sprite pictures of characters, though often it's just an impulse that the results are mostly niche entertainment, but this is fun. ;)

A lot of times it feels good to draw it, but when you put it in the game and execute an animation over and over again, those subtle little movements become flickering particles that need to be tweaked over and over again ......
