There some nice ideas there. I loved that you can ride the elephant!
I just think you need to work on the palettes, because some uses pale colors (like Golden Axe 1 sprites) while others user strong colors and contrats (Golden Axe 2). Plus, the shadow is too strong in some stages (specially at night).  And, right at the start, the catapult (and skeletons later), when hit, cause blood splat to appear?

Finally something new about GA series!

Just one thing to say, since graphics/art is my stuff (and my job)

-GA1 and GA2 sprites seems to clash (just my opinion)
Actually the color scheme is the real problem, not the sprites themselves.
CA1 sprites have some kind of dull colors. they are perfect for GA1, but your game have a mix up of colors and seems not so dull.
So I would suggest to adapt GA1 characters color with slightly more "vivid" colors

Congratulations my friend!

I see a lot of work here, the stages look awesome and the variety of enemies is very good.
Several animals to use and the elephant is great.
Keep up the good work my friend, your mod is really welcome.
 
I would love if if you made Jamm playable. To me, she is the best of all of the cast of The Duel. She isn't too similar to another character or too evil-ish, and her moves are really cool too.

IMO this girly rip off of Cham Cham is not that interesting.
Also, she would clash a lot with other characters.
But let's see how Mono's project progresses :)

The game kinda needs its oddball. And to me she's more interesting than Trix. And with all the mods of the olden days that had The Duel characters as goons, it's about time one (that isn't based off an older character) got their due as playable. As I said before, the rest are either too close to the older cast or too overtly villainous. Jam is perfect.
 
My questions for this mod are:
1. What kind of moves the heroes will have? Golden Axe style or free (anything)?
2. Will this mod use same magic rule as Golden Axe series i.e use of magic pots?

I tried it.
It starts pretty well.
2 things I want to point about it that can be better IMO.

-Platform climbing is kind of automatic, you can't really control freely it or go back down if you miss an enemy, platform seems to keep you climbing always.

-Enemies seems to have a total priority on characters. I have been surounded by 3 enemies without the possibility to land any single hit for almost 1 minute. I finally quit the game (Since I had already finished the demo with another character)

Good luck with the progress, and thanks for sharing the early demo :)
