Hey guys, for those who care i have released a new version of the game(build 2.0.3) with some bug fixes:

1. Fixed a mistake on players key script which could cause the player to get stuck.

2. Fixed a specific spot in mission 4 where the enemies could get stuck offscreen under certain conditions and the level could not progress.

Hi Magggas, every new implementation that you make the game is much better and more fun. I was thinking and here I put a great challenge, I would like you to give me your opinion on what would you think if you could add to the game the hold back as you did with the enemies? I think it would make it even more fun in the cooperative mode. what do you say? greetings and I wait for your answer friend. :)

Hm.. sory but i will never add this because, first it's pointless anyways and second it would not make any sense, because in my game the players can hit each other only when fighting for marian and not during the whole game. So.. :-\
 
Hello Magggas, I think you have not understood me, what I meant is that the player can grab the enemy from behind as in the arcade and so the second player could hit him.

Ah okay, now i see what you meant. This is even easier but it still require some work. Well i still think it's an almost pointless move and for me it's not worth the trouble. So again no, sorry.

Thanks for the words my friend! You will not believe how many times i have tested enerything on this game and i did found these two bugs just now after all this time because they were really hard to trigger. From time to time i'm playing my games and when i'm spotting something, then i'm trying to fix it  :D

About any new projects, for now i don't even have an idea of what game i would wanna make. In meantime, right now i'm just updating my MKOA game as well(yes nsw25, you won). I'm making it widescreen, fixing alot of bugs and making it working properly with a more recent OpenBOR Engine. I'm almost done with it and i will post it in the next days.
 
Hello Magggas, ok there is no problem with the idea that I proposed to be able to grab the enemies from behind, it just seemed like it could be more fun and cooperative for the 2 player mode. in any case later if I decide to add this function I would like to have your help because as I said I'm not very good at programming. for now I'm doing the stages, when I start with the characters I'll ask you some questions.

Sure, i have no problem to help where i can but please not via personal messages. Once you will make your W.I.P. topic, i will provide you there some help where i can.

Now that i'm saying this, i would like to point out something for everyone here. Please never ever ask me for help via pm(personal messages)! This is for couple of reasons:

1. When people asking for help via pm, it is mostly about ghost projects(without any W.I.P. topic) which are never see the light of the day! The last 5 years many people have asked me about different things for their "projects". There are so many people who pretend working on something and i gave them the help the did ask via pm. Turns out they never ever posted or released their "project" anyware. So they just wasted my time!

2. I can't always help because i don't know everything, or just i don't have the time to even asnwer and explain things. While in same time, someone else may know the answer and have the time to help, so better ask for help in the forum!

3. I'm not a programmer! Im just a normal guy like you are. When i first joined OpenBOR in 2009, i always wanted to make a Double dragon game. So i did some other more basic games first in order to learn the OpenBOR engine. Then when i started making my DD game at 2014, i had some more experience but i still did not know how to program a lot of things on this game! How i have then created the game? Well i have created an W.I.P. topic first and then i asked for help on different things in the forum and not via personal messages! This way i got a lot of help and i was able to create all the mechanics for this game on the road!
Bottom line, i'm not the "programmer" you may think. I just put a lot of time, research and ask for help in the forum instead bothering specific people via pm!

The short version of all the above:
I'm not a fan of providing help on ghost projects without any W.I.P. topic!
I'm not providing any modding help via personal messages!
I'm not the great "programmer" you may think anyways!

Sure everyone can still chat or share some information with me via pm but that's all!
This applys to everyone here!

 
hello Magggas, if I understand you perfectly for me, time is something irreverent, obviously I would first create a W.I.P. topic and ask questions from there as you told me. It seems to me right and correct of no personal messages.

Thank you for the report but.. The question is if it works without bugs on that version!? Since on all newer ObenBOR builds above 4153 i have tested the game works but with tons of bugs! Sadly i can't test the game by myself on this 4161 build in order to say if it's really compatible because i don't have any Android device.
 



PS: with this dev build i have not laginput (in the latest BIG builds a lot with a tons of bugs) on my ex SD800.

SD835-4GB (the same bugs with latest builds).

PPSS: the problem, in my opinion are the latest OpenBOR builds compatibility.


 
Again, i hope it works well on this build but just a screenshot does not telling us anything. In can only say for sure that the game is having a lot of problems from the builds 4183 and above as i have tested. The game runs on the newer bulids but tons of things in the game are then brocken!

Now that this build is below 4183, the game may run on it without bugs. The thing is i just can not say that for sure by myself without having tested it first.

Thanks for the report, so far this is good to know. The thing is there could be things that are not working properly on this build which are not necessarily shown in the logs or not necessarily make the game to crash.
When i will get the chance to test it by myself as well on 4161, only then i will be able to 100% recommend this OpenBOR build for the game.

Anyways this is still good to know so far and thank you for the report!

Yeah i know, i'm taking testing too serious. I just want that my downloadable files are as stable and well tested as possible for the people who download them. So that not the people will have to discover bugs every day or don't know which OpenBOR build to use. I'm better doing this job by myself and the people should only have fun with the games.
I really wish that every modder would do that and.. Please people, always test your games with 2 players as well!
 
I tested and ritested at 1000% this particolary build (with new and load save).  :)

For your single Mod, this is the best version (with SDL and filters in, especially on old hardware) in my opinion and for my personal usage (Android) :)

I know this game weren't to be played in most recent builds, but I gave it a tr on Android .

Right on the start, we have problems with the ladder - the player (and enemies) doesn't go up in the ladders, instead, they just appear on the upper platform.





and if you try to get down, it wont move down but will execute the wall grab animation

2. Normally any new Openbor build should never be promoted and recommended everyware on the web for normal people when it's just released! This is wrong! Instead it should be promoted and recommended as" for developers only"(game modders) with a warrning for bugs to be expected! As for the for normal audience we should promote and recommend a well known/tested most stable Openbor build instead!
Take as example any emulator or  most of other software on the internet with active development. They all do just that but here.. oh man it is totally out of control! Wrong moves, wrong  engine promotion/introduction and nobody really knows what is what or what for.
