Developing For OpenBOR

I'm new to openbor so i'm not sure if there are any paks that struggle on the wii but if there are, unlocking the cpu should give a decent speed up as it takes the wii's 729mhz and bumps it up to wii u's full 1.25 Ghz.
The issue is not related with the CPU power (but some heavy games could have issues), its related with RAM power.
Wii has a TOTAL ram of 88MB, split between 24 MB internal 1T-SRAM integrated into graphics package, 64 MB external GDDR3 SDRAM - so you can't use all of it. Wii U has 2Gb of ram, which is pretty much enough.

You would need to use, at least, the build 4432.
 
Even if Demothens manages to integrate Wii U gamepad support to OpenBor, it will still run as a Wii app and depend from the same Wii memory ram usage of 88mb observed in vWii side.

For OpenBor to make use of Wii U memory ram, a Wii U port would need to be made.

The Gamepad feature is still amazing though because it can also benefit from console overclocking which should eliminate screen tearing in some of the the heavier mods like Nightslashers X and Maggas World Heroes.
 
Welcome to the team Demothens I wanted to work with you on updating the wii but I will start a separate post for that.
