Various 4th generation games employed a sprite stacking technique to create objects with three dimensional depth (ex. Red Zone on Sega Genesis/Mega Drive).

The same techniques are available to OpenBOR as well, only without the restrictive sprite and layer budgets faced by previous developers. The module download includes everything you need to get started. Watch the demo video below and learn how to implement stacking in your own projects.
